Ability to understand human’s body anatomy, organ systems and physiological functions, general health, including skin condition and its connection to the nutrition/diet and lifestyle with the aim to carry out cosmetic manual and mechanical face skin and body treatments without doing harm to client.
2. Ability to recognise most common skin diseases and its derivatives, skin and percutaneous formations, damage and cosmetic defects and at the level of one’s own responsibility to solve the problem or suggest the client a doctor’s consultation.
3. Ability to assess the skin type, condition and defects, adequately choose appropriate basic cosmetic procedures and to develop their performance plan.
4. Ability to independently and responsibly perform cosmetic massage for skin, neck and decollete, the whole body or parts of the body, including use of manual or cosmetic machines without doing harm to the client and by complying with the basics of the massage, methods of procedures and safety measures.
5. Ability to understand role of the most important physical factors and operation of practical cosmetology, by performing heat, light and electro procedures in a responsible manner and guaranteeing positive result, as well as personal and client’s safety.

Ability to be able to orient well in the Latvian cometology market and in the range of offered professional cosmetic products, their contents, active ingredient exposure, to safely solve particular cosmetic problems by suggesting to the client the most appropriate cosmetic product for use at the saloon or at home.
7. Ability to strictly comply with the state regulations on hygiene requirements for beauty parlors, guaranteeing a high level of sanitation in the workplace, a safe working environment for the client and the specialist.
8. Ability to perform the skin cleansing and after-treatment at the high sanitary level by using mechanical, chemical and other methods.
