Knowledge (knowledge and comprehension):
The postgraduate student acquires in-depth knowledge and comprehension, part of which complies with the latest findings in the respective field of Musicology – Music Pedagogy science and provides basis for creative thinking and research, including activities within interdisciplinary fields.
Skills (knowledge application skills, communication skills, general skills);
The postgraduate student is able to independently apply theory and methods, demonstrate problem solving skills, to undertake the research and artistic activities of the respective specialization and the professional duties of highly qualified musician.
Students acquire the skills to explain and to discuss complicated or systemic and professional aspects of the respective field of music and aspects of the professional field of the musician with professionals and non-professionals.
Student is able to independently organize further development of his/her competencies;
– to assume responsibilities and to analyse the results of the group work (research or arts project or cultural institution work);
– to undertake entrepreneurship activities (management of culture institution, research project or individual arts projects, private teaching practice);
– to implement innovations in specialization of his/her field of music, to undertake activities of professional musician and teacher;
– to carry out research, to pursue further studies (further education, doctoral studies) to make decisions and to find creative solutions in changing or uncertain circumstances.
Competencies (analysis, synthesis and evaluation):
Upon completion of study courses the postgraduate student is able to independently define and critically analyze complicated professional and scientific issues,
– to substantiate decisions and to perform additional analysis.
Student is able to integrate the knowledge in different fields (music, psychology, philosophy, sociology, didactics of higher education),
– to contribute new findings and facilitate development of new methods in the professional,
– to demonstrate understanding and ethical responsibility for the possible influence of professional activities on social environment.
