Objective of the Study Programme:
To prepare professionally educated, creative and motivated teachers who are able to address education issues in accordance with their professional competence and who are competitive both in Latvian and European labour market.
To provide the possibility to acquire professional bachelor degree in education and the knowledge relevant to the chosen professional qualification for ensuring successful further education and scientific research activities.
To provide support to self-implementation of students’ personalities and the development of professional identity in the context of life-long education.

Study Outcomes:
Acquired theoretical knowledge and teaching technologies necessary for planning, implementing and assessment of the teaching process.
Demonstrate their ability to implement innovative teaching activities in accordance with the educational process trends and requirements of the labour market.
Ability to implement positive mutual interaction with children / students’ parents and cooperation partners, and to express tolerant attitudes in different social environments.
Ability to identify relevant research issues and to choose the appropriate methodology.
Proves skills of self-exploring and self-reflection in pedagogical activity.

Have professional skills in:
Provision of sport and dance education programme in accordance with the established objectives and regulatory documents;
Analysis, structuring and application of pedagogical and psychological key guidelines in pedagogical activities,
provision of the content of sport and dance teaching subject, the didactic approach and pupil-oriented teaching process in accordance with skills, interests and needs of pupils;
Planning and organising an independent, purposeful and responsible teaching process contributing to pupils’ achievements and personal development.
