Graduates of the study program are able:
– to demonstrate skills demanded for an engineer in the field of heat and power engineering, to apply this knowledge practically and perform critical and logical analysis of the most recent scientific and technological developments in the industry.
The alumni of the study program are able:
– to conduct professional, innovative and research work;
– to analytically describe information, formulate problems and solutions in the thermal engineering sector;
– to demonstrate technical, scientific and reasonable solutions to problems;
– to adopt engineering decisions and appropriate solutions in diverse circumstances and situations;
– to take responsibility for doing the work individually or in a team;
– to analyze and manage district, local and individual heating systems operation;
– to select and analyze heat power and district heating plants and device alternatives to be able to justify their technical economic indicators;
– to use professional terminology in the state official language and at least two foreign languages;
– to assess fuel types, variety, quality and utilization options to choose applicable construction and insulation materials.
The graduates are able to independently obtain and analyze information about heat power and thermal engineering, as well as other industries and use that data to make independent decisions, observe professional ethics and advance professional development;
– to supervise district heating systems, thermal engineering and heat power plant design and structure, physical and technical principles of operation, working conditions and safety requirements;
– to be capable of thermal equipment selection, installation; organize and carry out the inspection and maintenance organization;
– to carry out technological equipment calibration, verification and testing using hydraulic thermodynamic and aerodynamic measurements and calculations;
– to work independently to work with the essential software required to carry out calculations and drawings;
– to assess the impact of implementing projects in the field of environment and society;
– to manage and organize the work of the business unit, team work, as well as work individually.
