Graduates of the study program are able:
– to demonstrate skills demanded for an engineer in the field of heat and power engineering, to apply this knowledge practically and perform critical and logical analysis of the most recent scientific and technological developments in the industry;
– to conduct professional, innovative engineering and research work;
– to describe analytically information, formulate problems and solutions in the heat power sector;
– to find technical, scientific and reasonable solutions to problems;
– to select and analyze heat power and thermal engineering plant alternatives, to justify their technical economic indicators;
– to use professional terminology in the state language and in at least two foreign languages;
– to independently obtain and analyze information about heat power, thermal engineering and physics, as well as other industries and to use it to make independent decisions, observing professional ethics and advance professional development;
The alumni of the study program;
– demonstrate knowledge of thermal engineering and heat power equipment design, physical and technical principles of operation of devices and processes, operating conditions and safety requirements;
– have an ability to perform thermodynamic and thermophysical experiments, mathematical processing of the results and interpretation of the data;
– are able to set up plans for research projects and to prepare the reports;
– to produce scientific publications and deliver presentations at conferences;
– to conduct selection, calibration, and verification of technological and scientific equipment, perform the measurement errors analysis;
– to assess the impact of implementing projects in the environment and society;
– to manage and organize the work of the business unit, team work, as well as to work individually.
