Latvian Qualifications Framework (LQF) has 8 levels (1 – the lowest, 8 – the highest).

Levels reflect the complexity level of acquired knowledge, skills and competences (learning outcomes).

LQF covers stages of education starting from the basic education (level 1 – special basic education) to the highest education (level 8 – doctoral studies).

Level of professional qualification
Latvia has a system of five professional qualifications levels (PQL, 1 – the lowest, 5 – the highest).

PQL system covers only professional qualifications (basic education, secondary and higher education stages).

PQL reflects readiness of a person to perform work of certain stage of complexity and responsibility.

Learning outcomes

Learning outcomes are knowledge, skills and competences acquired during a certain period of learning.

In Latvia, learning outcomes are stipulated by state education standards and occupational standards (for the professional qualifications).

Learning outcomes of higher education are defined by higher education institutions.

    3.7. face, nose, eye, forehead, cheek, lip, chin shaping
    techniques and their application;

    3.9. special effects of plastic materials, their use and making

    3.10. Paste products, their manufacturing technologies, instruments and

    2. Visualize the nature of the image with a make-up, display it in sketches, drawings,
    collage and coordinate with the customer.
    3. Assess the model’s compliance with the image and make preparations.
    4. Determine the skin type, cleanse the face with suitable means and prepare it
    for the sinking.
    5. Identify and correct facial proportions and peculiarities.
    6. Choose appropriate makeup materials and special effects appropriately

    materials for the task of a grinder.
    3. Ability to evaluate facial morphology and body proportions and perform it
    visual changes with makeup materials.
    4. Ability to make a makeup according to theater, television, cinema, photo, advertising
    makeup specifics and fashion trends.
    5. Ability to use the most appropriate special effects for makeup, pastiche and
    auxiliary materials for the task of a grinder.
    6. Ability to create, stylize and transform various hair types
    according to the client’s individual characteristics and task.
    7. Ability to arrange work environment, keep it clean and clean.
    8. Ability to work independently and take responsibility for your work

Qualification acquisition requirements

Previous education
From the age of 15, the transcript of records for partially acquired general basic education OR Certificate of general basic education
Ways to acquire 
Qualifications can be acquired in the framework of education programs or in the evaluation and recognition of non-formal knowledge, skills and competences acquired (in vocational education LKI Levels 2-4).

ECTS credit points 
The unit of the volume of Latvian higher education studies - 1 credit point corresponds to one week of study work in full-time studies (40 credit points per study year).
