Knowledge:
– to demonstrate extended knowledge and understanding in both professional sphere and basic areas of health care corresponding to the qualification of physical therapist providing the basis for the research and cooperation with professionals of various spheres of rehabilitation in both local and international level by taking into account current accomplishments in science and comprehending the regularities.

Skills:
– to apply the acquired knowledge for participating in various research projects related to rehabilitation both in Latvia and abroad;
– to provide argumentative explanation and discuss about complicated or systematic aspects of physiotherapy with both specialists and non-specialists;
– to conduct the work of the specialists of physiotherapy in research projects related to rehabilitation, analyse the results, solve the problematic issues and take the responsibility for the results of the group work;
– to independently promote the development of academic knowledge and specialisation.

Competences:
– to formulate and critically analyse the validity of various theories, methods and techniques of physiotherapy;
– to demonstrate the understanding and ethical responsibility for the scientific result or possible impact of multiprofessional actions on society in the field of rehabilitation;
– to be able to work in both professional and academic spheres by participating in the realisation of the study process for physiotherapists at the Bachelor level.
